Women of the Bible Interviews: Miriam
Good morning everyone, and welcome back to the Women of the Bible Interviews. Our two week hiatus has given us new ideas for this series as well as a much needed rest.
Today we have the rare opportunity to discuss sibling rivalry of a different sort with Miriam, Moses' and Aaron's sister.
Tish: Thank you so much for meeting with me today, Miss Miriam.
Miriam: You are two weeks late. Don't tell me - you went after Moses for an interview. Typical!
Tish: This is Women of the Bible, Miss Miriam, not men.
Miriam: Whatever. It wouldn't surprise me if you changed it just for him, the glory hog.
Tish: Sounds like you have issues with Moses.
Miriam: Ya think? How would you feel if you saved your brother's life, helped your people leave slavery, but were treated as a third wheel?
Tish: I read that you were very unhappy with Moses' choice in marrying an Ethiopian woman.
Miriam: (shifts in her chair) I'd rather not talk about that. The last time I spoke up, God covered me from head to toe with sores.
Tish: Maybe it was due to your arrogance more than his power?
Miriam: Look here, you weren't there. I was THE prophetess, so why weren't my words as important as Moses'? Aaron and I got none of the glory, none of the admiration that Moses gobbled up like Cheetos.
Tish: You were very jealous of him, weren't you?
Miriam: This interview is over. I don't have to have my face rubbed in the past.

Join us next week as we have the first ever triple interview with Noah's daughter-in-laws. I can't wait to hear what really happened in that Ark. And remember, life isn't all about what you have, but what you find on sale.

I'm jealous. Biblical characters really talk to you. Damn. I just make mine up.

This was great! I just read it to my daughter because we've been discussing this particular story in the Bible in homeschool and she thought it was hilarious.
I can't wait to read next week's interview! LOL

I did a speech in high school as an interview with Adam in the Garden of Eden. This reminded me so much of it!!! "so Adam, this new creature that God created from your rib....tell us about it..." "Duuuuudee, all I can say is.... WHOA MAN! Is she hot!!" lol
Great post!
